Don’t miss to spend half a day on a mini-cruise visiting the lagoon of Marano, one of the most northern lagoon settings of the Mediterranean sea. The main feature of this area is the Stella river delta, a natural bird-life oasis.
The visit includes a stop at the typical fishermen’s huts. Book your trip at the reception desk!
Cruises to Venice, the most beautiful city in the world, are available twice a week. If you prefer to plan the trip on your own, catch a train and you will reach the city within one hour. At your arrival, a vaporetto will be ready to drive you on a tour on the Grand Canal where marble and stone palaces built between 1100’s and 1800’s stand along, on both sides.
A visit off the beaten paths takes you to the small islands of the lagoon: Torcello, Burano, Murano, San Lazzaro degli Armeni, San Francesco del Deserto and San Michele, each one housing beautiful churches.
You can also enjoy a visit to the city and port of Triest, a real example of neoclassical architecture. In the 19th and early 20th, the intensely cosmopolitan city was the heart of central European culture and art. Today, Triest can still be explored through Svevo’s and Joyce’s locations.
The summer theatrical season at the Arena in Verona is a good opportunity to visit the town of Romeo and Juliet during the day and enjoy one of the unique performances in the evening.
